Name Me And Win a Resort Holiday!

As you know I just got back from Daydream Island and because I did such a fantastic job reporting from Daydream Island the boss is sending me OS in June. Las Vegas here I come! The problem is I don’t have a passport. Why don’t I have a passport you ask. I don’t have a passport because I don’t have a name.
This is where I need your help, I need a name so I can get my passport and get on the plane to Las Vegas. If you give me a really cool name that I like then your name will be added to a short list of 10 and put out to the world to be voted on. After all this if the name that you suggested gets the most votes then you will win a fabulous resort holiday for 7 nights.

Now before you start coming up with names like Priscilla, Reginald or Beiber  there a few thing you need to know about me.
  • I am a koala
  • I am male
  • I love to travel
  • I am cuddly
  • I love an adventure

River Cruising in Germany

Medieval castles, beer festivals and lush nature reserves: just three of the reasons to see Germany from the deck of a river boat. Why go River Cruising in Germany? The simple answer is that it’s one of the best ways for a visitor to experience the scenery and culture of the country. From major historical sites to excellent food and wine festivals, the cruises along the great rivers of Germany offer a cultural experience that shouldn’t be missed by anyone traveling through Europe. These rivers have been traveled since the Stone Age, and each subsequent culture has added to the idyllic settings along each bank, as both ancient and modern architecture, rolling landscapes and breathtaking natural wonders blend organically into the rivers’ bends.
There are three major rivers in Germany: The Oder (which flows into the Baltic Sea), the Danube (flowing into the Black Sea) and the Rhine (which flows into the North Sea). Both the Danube and the Rhine also have several main tributaries which offer alternative diversions into more of Germany’s landscape. No matter where you want to go in Germany, there will be a river to bring you there. Travelers can partake in this amazing experience for anywhere from just a few hours to several days or even weeks. Boats will stop along the way to allow travelers an opportunity to view the castles, old towns, vineyards, and forests that make up Germany’s unique cultural landscape. More adventurous travelers can engage in outdoor activities such as hiking in the mountains along the river. For a more laid back experience, take a stroll through one of Germany’s long established riverside towns.
Though the best time of the year for travel in Northern Europe are the months of  May, June, and July, travelers who are interested in the traditions of German culture can find festivals celebrated along the rivers at many times throughout the year. From  food and wine connoisseurs, to avid trekkers and art and culture fans, each and every traveler will find something to please and excite them on one of Germany’s magnificent river cruises. Contact Cruise  Megastore for your next cruise holiday.

Not Your Typical Aussie Tourist

My story:
I am your not-so typical Aussie Koala. I live in the bush with my family in South-East Queensland, but I have a real yearning to travel the World.  I had never travelled  further than a few trees down, until this weekend, when my adventures through Cruise Megastore really began.

My Weekend Getaway to Beautiful Daydream Island

Living in the bush, I didn’t realise how many beautiful islands there were off the Queensland coast, but my weekend getaway gave me a taste of just some of the highlights on offer.

Leaving Brisbane on Friday I flew to the tropical paradise of Hamilton Island. On the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, this picturesque Island is one of 74 making up the stunning Whitsunday Islands. From there, I caught the super quick Cruise Whitsundays ferry across to the beautiful Daydream Island Resort.

My aim for the weekend was to explore this tropical paradise and to relax in its serene surroundings. Daydream is a private island located only 5kms off the mainland. Only 1km in length and 500m wide, its crystal clear waters, perfect white sandy beaches, and colourful coral reefs, make it the ideal holiday destination – suitable for families, couples, wedding parties and of course Koalas!

My weekend of doing nothing however did not turn out quite as planned. There was just so much to keep me occupied! From feeding the tropical fish and sting rays in the ‘Living Reef’, using the resorts free water activities, playing the Australian-themed putt putt golf course, to meeting the locals, there was loads to do!

Being within easy reach of Hamilton Island and the mainland, Daydream Island Resort is a great weekend getaway destination. With very reasonable pricing for the range of facilities available, this serene resort will suit anyone’s budget.
